An Implementation of SAR Real-time Preprocessor Based on QDR and FPGA

Preprocessing filter,which is difficult to design,is a key part of synthetic aperture radar′s real-time processing.This paper uses Xilinx Virtex-5 series high performance FPGA to satisfy the unique requirements of the FIR filter of preprocessing.The design uses QDR memory to store the data before and after filtering.This method reduces the time of fetching and storing the data and makes the data-pass fast.Results of simulation on the hardware circuits show that this method is efficient.The design has good hardware performance,and lays the foundation for the implementation of high performance system.
