Electronically assisted braking system for vehicles based on a high-speed on/off valve

A high-speed on/off valve based electronically assisted braking system was developed to promote the response of the normally used electronic vacuum booster EVB in vehicle longitudinal motion control system. Pulse width modulation PWM method was used to control the high-speed on/off valve. An open loop model of the system was used to design a PI controller to control the braking pressure. Tests show that the system stable error is less than 0.1 MPa and response time is less than 0.2 s. The braking system is also easy to fix and is compatible with earlier braking systems.
