Low Noise CMOS Front-End Amplifier Used in Detection of Extracellular Neural Signals(ENG)

A low noise CMOS amplifier used in the detection and the amplification of Extracellular neural signals(ENG) is presented.By utilizing the design method of Chopper stabilization(CHS),the proposed amplifier achieves low noise characteristic.Besides,it can achieve rail-to-rail input and has low residual offset. The proposed amplifier chip has been implemented by using the 0.35 μm CMOS process of TSMC with die area of 980 μm×450 μm.The simulation results show that the low noise amplifier features a open loop gain of 100 dB and a bandwidth of 10 kHz.The equivalent input noise is about 13.2 nV/sqrt(Hz).The simulation results show that the low noise amplifier based on chopper stabilization is a potent analog front end.
