A CQI Adjustment Scheme for HSDPA System

Channel quality indication (CQI) is directly related to the accuracy of AMC (adaptive modulation and coding) and the performance of HSDPA (high speed downlink packet access). There will be feedback-delay if we consider the CQI in current specification. In this paper, we propose a novel CQI adjustment scheme, which makes use of the power control information of DPCH (dedicated physical channel) updated from UE (user equipment), to improve the veracity of the feedback information, so as to improve the throughput of the system. Simulation shows that our proposed scheme performs more precisely than the conventional one.
