Effect of High Dietary Magnesium on Fecal Steroid Excretion in Rats.

高Mg食を Wistar 系雄ラットに投与し, 糞便へのコレステロール, 胆汁酸およびミネラルの排泄量を観察した。1) 高Mg投与は糞便中の水分含量を増加させたが, Ca, Mg, Pの見かけの吸収率は高Mg食を投与しても阻害されなかった。2) 総脂質, コレステロールおよび胆汁酸の排泄量は高Mg食を投与すると低下した。3) 血清中総コレステロール, トリグリセリド, リン脂質濃度には高Mg投与による変化はみられなかった。以上のことから通常の4倍量のMgを投与しても成長阻害や脂肪の吸収阻害を示さず, 逆に成長促進や吸収促進を示した。
