Effectiveness of Training and Development in Information Technology Enabled Service Sector (Ites) in Chennai

Training and development among employees is inevitable in any modern organisational set-up. It is indeed a crucial tool for the survival of every organisation. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of training and development provided by ITES companies in Chennai city, Tamilnadu. The research design chosen is descriptive in nature. The universe of the study is employees in ITES companies. Convenient sampling method is used for this study. Primary data collected through structured questionnaire from 100 employees who are working in ITES companies and Secondary data were collected through previous research work, journals, websites, etc., Simple percentage analysis, Anova, , ‘t’-test are used for data analysis. This research indicated that age, gender and experience has the positive influence on training and development.
