Practical and Low-power Monitoring and Recording Apparatus of Initial Polarized Electrode on Offshore Platforms

In view of difficulties to monitor the corrosion potential of the steel frame construction at the early stage when the offshore platform was pulled into the sea,a practical and low-power monitoring and recording apparatus of initial polarized electrode was developed.This apparatus,which was based on a high speed SOC C8051F MCU and used a 16 bit A/D and mass memory flash,had the ability to monitor the cothodic protection polarized electrode field and record the collected data.The experimental results prove that the apparatus features high precision,low power consumption,simple operation and high practicability.It is a state-of-art facility in the area of measuring and analyzing corrosion of steel frame in the early stage.
