Hybrid vehicle and method for controlling an engine clutch for a start of an engine

A vehicle includes an engine, a transmission, a clutch and a controller. The coupling is configured to couple the engine and the transmission at engine start. The controller is programmed to change a Kraftmaschinenstartdrehmomenteinstellzeitplan for the clutch such that the actual engine starting time is below the upper threshold time for a next engine start event. Further, the controller may be programmed in response to that the actual engine starting time is less than a lower threshold time for the engine starting event to change the Kraftmaschinenstartdrehmomenteinstellzeitplan for the clutch such that the actual engine starting time is higher than the lower threshold time for a next engine start event.
