OPTIMAL OUTPUT-FEEDBACK CONTROLLERS FOR LINEAR TIME-DELAY SYSTEMS

Optimal control of linear time-delay systems with a quadratic performance criterion is discussed. The optimal strategy is searched among the class of controllers that use only output information. The optimal gains are characterized by certain Riccati-type equations.
