Study on dynamic stiffness and damp measurement of railway crushed stone ballast

Railway crushed stone ballast dynamic stiffness and damp are important parameters of dynamic simulation of track structure. Ballast dynamic stiffness and damp are tested by method of wheel axle drop, and calculated with model of wheel axle drop test and parameter analysis method. Software of LabVIEW is used to calculate and collect test data, and get the rational values of track stiffness with getting dynamic and damp under different depth, material, density and fouling of ballast are described in this paper. It is feasible that wheel axle drop test is used to test ballast dynamic stiffness and damp. The results are reliable.
