Single Frequency Network System Coverage Design Based on Simplified Channel Model in Chinese Railway Television System

Deploying TV on the ongoing Chinese high speed railway is one of the services,which has drawn much attention in Chinese broadcasting industry.The design of Chinese railway television system mainly includes two aspects,which are the coverage network and the modulation/demodulation technique.In this paper,it is suggested that the deployment of Railway Television Single Frequency Network (RTV-SFN) takes GSM-R as reference and ADTB-T as demodulation techniques (it's called ADTB-R).To ensure the reliable work of ADTB-T under the special environment of RTV-SFN,a diversity receiving technique is proposed to simplify the equivalent channel model.The validity of this scheme is verified by theoretical analysis and also laboratory tests.
