This paper introduces the development of the hardware and software of a micro-controlled system to measure power quality and consumption, with web interface. This intelligent measurement system is able to interact with the user, providing information on best practices in order to save electricity, being accessible via the web, through smartphone, tablet or personal computer. The applied methods and algorithms were described in the second part of the paper. The hardware and the experimental results are also discussed. The device has been tested in a controlled environment with signals of known characteristics and also in the conventional electric power system.
