PROTOTYPE WARP DEFORMATION IN THE FDM PROCESS

The prototype deformation in FDM process is studied, and the essence of deformation and interacting principle are analyzed. According to some reasonable hypothesis, the mathematic model of prototype warp deformation is founded, and each of the influencing factors, including deposition layer number, section length, environmental temperature of chamber, and material linear shrinkage rate, is quantitatively analyzed. Based on the analyzing results, some issues in the process of FDM are rationally explained. Furthermore, improvement methods for the decrease of warp deformation of prototype are provided, and the applying effects are better.
