A Novel Soft Switching Bidirectional DC/DC Converter and Its Output Characteristic

In this paper, a novel zero voltage switching (ZVS) bi-directional DC/DC converter is presented. With the specially designed control strategy, the symmetric converter achieves the soft switching for all the switches include the diodes. Thus, it reduces the power losses of the switches and lessens the diode reverse recovery effect to some extent. The paper introduces the principle of the converter as well as the soft switching principle briefly. Furthermore, the state space average model is also depicted. On the basis of the above analysis, the output characteristic is deduced. Finally, the experimental results are given to verify the above analysis
