Design of the System for Farmland's Information Gathering Based on GSM SMS and GPS

The article analyzed the advantage of farmlands information transmission by GSM SMS(Global System for Mobile Communications Short Message Service), and studied how to design the hardware and software of mobile unit by Siemens M20 GSM module and Rockwells Jupiter GPS OEM board. This system is designed for resolving the problem that technology of farmlands information gathering, tracking record and disposing is currently so unenlightened that wasted a great deal manpower and material resources. And it can gather, transport and track record the information of farmland using GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) and GPS(Global Position System).
