Analysis on Influential Factors for Meta-Level Control of the Anytime Algorithm for Dynamic WTA Problem

Dynamic weapon-target allocation (DWTA) problem can be formulated as a real-time problem. The temporal constraints is described with various deadlines, which might be stochastically generated in DWTA process. To provide a feasible solution before hard deadline, the DWTA algorithms must be anytime algorithms, whose stopping time should be controlled at run-time by a meta-level control procedure. The factors that influence the utility of the solution to DWTA problem are analyzed, and with taking the factors into account a simple meta-level control strategy is developed. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the meta-level control of anytime algorithm.
