Method for preventing unnecessary hand-off request message of mobile communication system terminal

PURPOSE: When a hand-off request message is transmitted to a base station in order to request a hand-off, a method for preventing unnecessary hand-off request message of a mobile communication system terminal does not transmit again the hand-off request message requiring the hand-off at a hand-off completion time point to the base station. CONSTITUTION: A method for preventing unnecessary hand-off request message stores a transmission time whenever the mobile communication terminal transmits a hand-off request message(PSMM) to a base station. If a receiving answering signal is transmitted to the terminal from the base station, the method searches a hand-off request message which does not yet receive a receiving answering signal, the hand-off request message being included in a plurality of hand-off message transmitted before a transmission time point of a corresponding hand-off message. If a prior hand-off message which does not receive a receiving answering signal from the base station is present, the method finishes a re-transmission timer of the hand-off request message, thereby preventing a re-transmission about the base station and preventing abnormal hand-off.
