PMSG current control in the overmodulation region

This paper presents the analysis of current control system with anti-windup applied to permanent magnet synchronous generator in overmodulation region. A review of the space vector modulation in overmodulation is initially presented. Then, the robust stability of the closed-loop system is investigated by means of linear matrix inequality conditions. These conditions provide a region in the state space with guaranteed stability considering the speed range that results operation in the overmodulation as well as the variations in the quadrature inductance value. The approach used here provides new information with respect to other works in the literature dealing with similar control system. The equilibrium points with zero steady state error of the closed-loop system are calculated to indicate which belong to guaranteed stability region. Simulation results are presented to illustrate good performance closed-loop system.
