A review of sensing techniques which could be used to generate images of agricultural and food materials

Abstract The paper reviews image capture techniques which could be or are being used in the agricultural and food industry to generate images which can be analysed and used as feedback for an automated system. The advantages and disadvantages of each method are discussed. Particular emphasis is given to techniques or aspects of techniques which have received only limited attention, and in which there is potential for future research.
