Problems in modeling UWB channels

Ultrawideband (UWB) channel models pose a new set of problems to the designer. The very wide radio-frequency bandwidth employed by a UWB radio means that more structure of the channel is exposed by the fine time-resolution of the UWB radio receiver. Issues pertinent to design and simulation of UWB communication and ranging systems are illustrated through a set of UWB measurements.
