A high performance single phase AC to DC rectifier with input power factor correction

A high performance single phase AC to DC rectifier with input power factor correction is proposed. The proposed approach has many advantages which include fewer semiconductor components, simplified control, high performance features and satisfaction of IEC 555 harmonic current standards. Simulation and experimental results obtained on a laboratory prototype are discussed.<<ETX>>
