RESISTIVITY SOUNDING ON A TWO‐LAYER EARTH WITH TRANSITIONAL BOUNDARY*

A THEORETICAL SOLUTION IS PROPOSED TO THE PROBLEM OF A TWO-LAYER SOIL WITH TRANSITIONAL BOUNDARY. IN PRACTICE, THE TRANSITIONAL LAYER CAN BE FOUND IN THE WEATHERED ZONE OF HARD ROCKS WHERE THE DEGREE OF WEATHERING DECREASES WITH DEPTH. CALIBRATION CURVES AND DATA TABLES ARE PRESENTED IN THE CASE OF THE RESISTIVITY OF THE LOWER HALF-SPACE BEING INFINITE. /TRRL/
