DETECTION AND DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM AND MODEL-BASED APPROACH

Abstract For the past ten years the interest has been growing up for the development of detection, diagnosis, prognosis methodologies. It has been induced by the constant pressing need to improve productivity which has put forward the concepts of availability and associated maintenance strategies. This paper, rather than surveying all the various approaches will try to be a synthesis presentation based on experience and transfer to industrial users. After situating the detection-diagnosis problems within the industrial context, it will review the main steps of the methodology and relate actual examples.
