UWB baby and sleep apnea monitor

An efficient UWB Vital Sign Monitoring System has been developed to provide a remote noncontact monitoring of respiratory and heart rate, which can be easily extended to estimation of pulse wave velocity for blood pressure measurements. The microcontroller and UWB radar based monitor provides a timely alarm in case of any sleep abnormalities, which is different from conventional sound and video based monitors that do not provide any useful information at infant sleep time for example. The system has advanced signal processing unit to cancel body motion as well.
