Location Information Disclosure in Social Network Services: A Case of Pakistan

Social network services are gaining a very fast popularity in Pakistan. One of the features of interest to Pakistani user is location. The study intends to understand the behavior of Pakistani user in the context of location disclosure information and also to understand if the Islamic religious values in the decision making process. It focused on understanding the effect of color, discount and truste on user’s trusting belief and ultimately the intention to disclose location information. The analysis shows that Islamic values in this study called as silaturrahim values has a substantial positive effect on the trusting beliefs and thus mediates the relationship towards intention to disclose location.
