Synthesis and Characterization of Divalent Organolanthanide-Fullerene Adducts Cp2LnC60 (Ln=Yb, Sm): First Example of Insertion Reaction Involving Cyclopentadienyl and Fullerene

Abstract Reaction of equimolar amount of Cp2Ln (Ln˭Yb, Sm) with fullerene C60 affords Cp2LnC60 (Ln˭Yb, Sm), and insertion reaction involving cyclopentadienyl and fullerene was reported first time.
