The invention relates to a robot mechanism (1) for a multiaxial robot, in particular for a painting robot or a handling robot of a painting installation for the painting of motor vehicle body parts, with a gear housing (6) that is at least partially filled during operation with a lubricant with an operation-dependent lubricant pressure, around the robot mechanism (1) to be lubricated, and a maximum design pressure for the maximum lubricant pressure, the transmission housing (6) is leaking, when the lubricant pressure exceeds the pressure maximum in the transmission housing (6). According to the invention, the robot transmission in addition a pressure equalizing device (7) which enables a pressure equalization in the transmission housing (6) and thereby prevents the lubricant pressure exceeds the pressure maximum in the transmission housing (6).
