The image processing apparatus provided by the present invention, a liquid crystal display and a method for high-resolution image is not directly input overdrive processing, but an aspect of the high resolution image input in the cache buffer unit, on the other hand the input resolution image reduction processing, so that when the drive processing actually performed, the amount of image data has been reduced, the space consumed SDRAM corresponding reduction, for high-resolution input image, is not necessary to increase the number of SDRAM, easy to control costs. For still images directly output at the output, the dynamic image is output through the drive processing and restores the original image into a resolution to maintain the image quality.
