Absolute field: proposal for a re-configurable spatial structure

Only architects have designed and built architectures until now. However, even if usage of the space is changed, it is difficult to change the internal space structure of architectures. On the other hand, we proposed the spatial structure which is dynamically configurable by using information technology. As such a technique, we consider a way to create a virtual architecture in real world without physical walls by using physical computing technology. This led to realization of re-configurable spatial structures which change according to the situation and the usage of space. In this paper, as an implementation of a proposed re-configurable spatial structure, we made "Absolute Field," which is an interactive art installation. In this artwork, we can duplicate a spatial structure in memory as a spatial structure in real world.
