Coverage-enhancing Algorithm for Three-dimensional Under-water Sensor Networks

According to the model of underwater sensor network in three dimension,we formally describe the optimization problem of coverage for underwater sensor networks. Then we propose a scheme,which bases on the virtual potential field algorithm CAT to adjust the rope distance between the nodes of the underwater sensor network and the float node. It eliminates the sensing overlapped area and coverage fade zone,which herein enhances the coverage of the entire underwater sensor network. Simulation results validate the efficiency of CAT( coverage-enhancing algorithm for three-dimensional sensor networks) algorithm by comparing with the ETG algorithm.
