Mitigation of voltage disturbances using fuzzy logic controller in a grid connected DFIG for different types of fault

Renewable Energy has a consistent share in today's scenario and its contribution is very significant. It is highly mandatory to synchronise wind energy system with the grid. In doubly fed induction generator (DFIG), stator and rotor connections differs from that of a normal synchronous generators. The rotor gives pulse at a constant rate to maintain its voltage and frequency same as that of the grid. In the proposed scheme, there are two converter topologies involved. one converter is placed near the rectifier side and the other converter is placed near the inverter sides. The fuzzy based control scheme is used to regulate the voltage with respect to dc link capacitor and also removes the oscillations to the maximum extent. Various fault conditions are simulated and analysed by means of MATLAB Simulink.
