A flexible waveform synthesis method for software radio

Software radio technology has many inherent advantages over conventional ones. We are searching a way to implement a software radio system based on a general PC's network. We try to find an IF waveform synthesizing method which could be adapted to most modulation techniques. We introduce a flexible and effective waveform synthesis method especially useful for software radio and discuss its principles. We give practical examples on how to synthesize baseband and passband waveforms for MQAM modulation and then show that it is a generalized method which is suitable for most wireless modulation techniques such as QPSK, OQPSK, MSK, TFM, GMSK, etc.
