Method of predicting three-phase transformer transients including magnetic nonlinearity and hysteresis effects

The paper describes a method for analysing the transient behaviour of a transformer, taking into account the mutual coupling between phases and the magnetic nonlinearity of the magnetic core including hysteresis effects. In addition to the three phase primary and secondary a tertiary winding is also included and voltage equations for this combination are analysed. An exponential model is used to represent magnetic nonlinearity and hysteresis effect of the transformer.<<ETX>>
