A Design of Miniature Payload Data Handling System Based on ARM

In order to resolve the conflict between mass of resources and high-performance requirement in design of space devices, and improve functions of real-time acquisition of high-speed diversiform information and management of system, a type of miniature payload data handling system is designed, based on microprocessor LPC2214 of ARM7 family. Together with FPGA, the system acquires a mass of scientific data and housekeeping data from payloads in the rocket in a short time period, packages the acquired data in terms of format which suits for transmitting in downlink channels. This paper shows the hardware design of the system, relevant modules, and external interfaces. The μC/OS-II, transplanted in the system, manages each task module and improves reliability and practicability of the system. The system, being of great practicability and portability, best meets the requirement of high-performance data handling.
