The paper states the conception,constitution,applications of Reverse Engineering.The techniques of Reverse Engineering such as data acquisition and data processing are discussed in detail.The data processing of the face in Sanxingdui is achieved with PolyWorks.It offers a valid way of the data processing in Reverse Engineering.
