A novel remedial approach of switching function for the fault-tolerant control was presented to reduce open phase failures occurring in AC-AC matrix converters,and improve the reliabilities of AC-AC converter.By detail mathematics analyzing,switches function matrix,containing symmetric and anti-symmet- ric mode matrix with appropriate sequences of input voltages,were developed to synthesize redefined output waveforms under the faults,AC-AC matrix converter can continue it's operate.Simulation and experimental results show feasibility of the fault-tolerant scheme.
