The Aberdeen Typhoid Outbreak

The report of the departmental committee of inquiry' into the typhoid epidemic in Aberdeen,`' which occurred between May and July 1964, was published on 17 December.5 The chairman of the committee was Sir David Milne, formerly Permanent Under-Secretary of State at the Scottish Office. The account given below consists of extracts from the report, chosen to bring out the main points from it.
