Teacher Leadership and School Effectiveness in the Primary Schools of Maldives.

Bu calismanin amaci ogretmen liderliginin okul etkiligi uzerindeki etkilerini incelemektir. Arastirmaninorneklemini Male’de (Maldivlerin Baskenti) yer alan alti ilkogretim okulundan secilen 181 ogretmen olusturmustur. Veritoplama araci olarak arastirmacilar tarafindan gelistirilen bir bilgi toplama araci kullanilmistir. Okul etkiligi ile ogretmenliderliginin her boyutu icin anlamli bir iliski oldugunu daha onceki arastirma bulgulari ortaya koymustur. Verilerin cokluregresyon analizi ile ilcelenmesi sonucu ogretmen liderligini belirleyen yedi boyuttan otonomi boyutunun okul etkiliginn %47.1’lik kismini aciklayan birinci yordayici oldugu belirlenmistir. Buna karsin, olumlu cevre boyutu, % 6,5lik, acik iletisimboyutu da % 2,9’luk bir katki yaptiklari belirlenmistir. Bu calisma ile ogretmen liderliginin okul basarisinin % 56,5’likkismini acikladigini belirlenmistir. Elde edilen bulgularin, ogretmenlere, okul yoneticilerine ve egitim bakanligi’na okuletkiligini artirmada ogretmen liderligi ozelliklerini gelistirme konusunda nasil calisabilecekleri konusunda katki getirdigidusunulmektedir
