Analysis and experimental investigation of mechanical vibration and acoustic noise in four phase switched reluctance motor using PI, PID, fuzzy logic controller

Generally this switched reluctance motor has the rotor with rugged structure and due to this it suits for only high speed applications. And here the variable frequency drives only it uses and the main disadvantage of this motor is its noise, vibration, and lower torque ripple capability. Presently some research process has been going on for its mechanical structure, magnetic design, power electronics related design work, and improved design. Here in this paper, mechanical vibration and acoustic noise reduction analysis processes have been undertaken by using PI, PID and FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER. To reduce torque ripple here Matlab/Simulink have been used and to evaluate mechanical vibration and acoustic noise LabVIEW tool used. This software gives an efficient results in terms of mechanical vibration and acoustic noise. This graphical language gives the efficient and accurate results in terms of mechanical vibration and acoustic noise.
