Benchmarking SOAP Binding

Wireless environments are the right ones where performance evaluation need to be done. Handheld devices with wireless capability are gaining popularity, and the future of Web Services will focus the large scale delivery of services on mobile devices. A lot of performance studies have been done on wired networks, and the aim of this chapter is to give another perspective to show the reader the major issues of SOAP when dealing with mobile applications.
