ASTERIX: Aprendizagem significativa e tecnologias aplicadas no ensino de redes de computadores: integrando e explorando possibilidades

For several decades the computers have been used in the educational process and nor always of the correct form. And exists a correct way? Do not exist consensus, they are some attempts and experiences with many positive and negative results. One knows of beforehand that one of the factors that lead to the failure some assays is the mere transposition of the traditional didactic material for the computational way, without alterations in the methodology nor in the behaviour of professor and pupil. The question is how the technology can be used for to favour a Meaningful Learning. For to allow this research was developed the Virtual Laboratory ASTERIX, used in disciplines of Computer networks of the Course of Sciences of the Computation/UFSM. This work presents the results of the use of virtual laboratory ASTERIX, the methodology of use of the involved technological resources (virtual reality, artificial intelligence and animations/simulations) and evaluation of the use of this virtual laboratory. The educational theory that based the creation and the use of the virtual laboratory was the Significant Learning of D. Ausubel and D. Jonassen.
