Chapter 13 – Personalized Medicine

Previous chapters of this book provided the background and history of medical information storage, and availability. Various systems of coding and quality control of data were presented. This chapter presents the full rationale for using this digital information for building “smart” decisioning systems. It ends with presentation of a number of challenges in medical information for merging group-based medical treatment with personalized medical care.
