In this study, annual heat loss and requirement of energy in building in third region have been determined by artificial neural network. In application, height, width, length of building and thickness of insulation material used building components have been considered. A backpropagation neural network has been preferred and the normalized data have been presented to network. Different values have been used for the training and test data set. The result obtained from the output of network has been compared with the TS 825 result and the suitability of the results have been discussed and it was seen that the results were satisfactory enough.
