Simulation analysis of transformer inrush current based on the same switching angle

High-magnitude inrush current happens when the no-load transformer core falls into saturation during energization. A new method of suppressing the inrush current from a three-phase transformer is proposed based on the principle of the same switching angle. The closing time of transformer is obtained by the actual opening time. The results of simulation show that the size of the synthesized magnetic flux is closely related to the synthetic voltage and the inrush current of each phase is closely related to its flux. The strategy completely eliminates the transient flux, and then the transformer runs directly in the steady state.
