The research of E-AOMDVjr routing algorithm in ZigBee network

The traditional AODVjr algorithm is a method based on the on-demand distance vector routing algorithm. But it consumes much energy which makes the nodes die too early. An improved E-AOMDVjr algorithm is proposed in this paper. The proposed algorithm is based on the AOMDV algorithm applied for Ad hoc network. By function tailoring, a multi-path routing algorithm is formed for ZigBee network. Then energy balance algorithm is adopted to reduce the possibilities that some key nodes or low energy nodes will be die during information transmitting, which will cause some path is out of date or even the whole network does not work. The experimental results show that the improved algorithm enhances the reliability of the network transmission, decreases the energy consumption of the network, and extends the lifetime of the network.
