In order to achieve the dynamic position monitoring and measurement of the coal shearer and to achieve the followed up automation of the coal shearer,the dynamic position monitoring and measuring system of the coal shearer was designed based on the ultrasonic wave technology.With the ultrasonic wave distance measurement technology,the stroke of the coal shearer could be measured with the ultrasonic wave reflected from the coal shearer.With the temperature correction module,the measured distance error could be corrected and thus the coal shearer could be accurately detected.The signal acquisition and transmission storage module was designed.With the RS485 communication,the signal could be transmitted to the central station in the underground mine and to the mine surface integrated control center.Also according to the mine underground special environment,anti interference measures were designed in order to keep the safety and stability of the system.The monitoring and measuring system could have a certain function to improve the mine production efficiency and the automation level of the mine.
