Method for recording and transmitting seamless information of digital data stream recorded on disc

PURPOSE: A method for recording and transmitting seamless playback information of digital data stream and recording medium according to the method is provided to previously prevent a seamless playback error of a data stream between recording assemblies by recording seamless playback information between adjacent recording assemblies and reading seamless playback information when performing a reproducing operation. CONSTITUTION: If a recording mode is set by a control unit of a streamer(S10), a data stream transmitted from a setup box is received and the received data stream is recorded in a recording medium(S11). Broadcasting program service information transmitted with the data stream is detected and detected broadcasting program service information is stored in a memory(S12). The recorded data stream is partitioned as one stream object unit during the record of the received data stream(S13). It is judged as to whether a data stream of a previously adjacent partitioned stream object unit and a data stream of a current partitioned stream object unit are a data stream corresponding to a same broadcasting or a timely successive recorded data stream(S14,S15). A seamless playback flag is set as 0 when the data stream of the previously adjacent partitioned stream object unit and the data stream of the current partitioned stream object unit are not the data stream corresponding to the same broadcasting or the timely successive recorded data stream(S17). The seamless playback flag is set as 1 when the data stream of the previously adjacent partitioned stream object unit and the data stream of the current partitioned stream object unit are the data stream corresponding to the same broadcasting or the timely successive recorded data stream(S16).
