42V 차량용 R-EPS 시스템 개발

Recently, the vehicle manufacturers are undergoing a revolution in the design of car electrical system. There are rapidly increasing demand of electric power for vehicle performance, price, system efficiency and force. These challenges result in the development of 42V power system instead of the existing 14V system. Accordingly many high-current electric chassis system such as EMB(Electro-Mechanical Brake), EPS(Electric Power Steering) and SBW(Steer By Wire) should switch their power bus to 42V. This paper describes the overall concept of R-EPS(Rack Assist type EPS) for 42V vehicles and outlines the components and control strategies. Finally, the results are confirmed from experiments.
