Analysis of open microstrip lines by MOL

In this article, the analysis of the characteristics of open planar microstrip by using the method of lines (MOL) is given as the limit case of open cylindrical substrate microstrip lines. Numerical examples of both cylindrical substrate and open planar microstrips are presented. The results are in good agreement with those in the literature; this fact supports the validity of this method. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
