Study on the seismic response reduction of fluid viscous damper in long-span bridge

This thesis based on an example of cable-stayed to analyze the effects of the fluid viscous damper in seismic response of long-span bridge.Under the same seismic excitation,time-history analysis is used to the elastic juncture between pylon and deck,the horizontal displacement restriction,and the horizontal displacement of the middle of deck and pylon and the stress of the bridge tower of three systems are compared.The researches show that the fluid viscous damper can mend the dynamical characteristic of long-span bridge system,by this it can not only minimize both the displacement and stress of thissystem.
